New Haven Coliseum was built in 1972 to replace the New Haven Arena. Located in Downtown New Haven, the Coliseum served as one of main sports and entertainment venues of the city.

WWF held the card at the Coliseum almost monthly until 1987 and continued to promote at the venue at least few times a year afterwards.

After being officially closed on 09/01/2002, the Coliseum was demolished on 01/20/2007.
